Project description: This project involves developing a comprehensive ontology based on the Identification of Medicinal Products (IDMP) standards within CENtree. The ontology will serve as the foundational body of knowledge for an AI-driven data stewardship assistant. It aims to systematically describe the data landscape across several key enterprise systems, integrate seamlessly with established ontologies such as IDMP-O and FHIR, and clearly specify the contextual usage of data within templated documents (e.g., SmPCs). The ontology will capture precise definitions, explicit business rules, validation constraints via SHACL, and necessary relationships amongst data concepts.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and gather detailed business requirements.
• Develop and document business requirements to illustrate current and future states.
• Develop, extend, and maintain an IDMP-based ontology using CENtree.
• Align internal data concepts with external standard ontologies, notably IDMP-O and FHIR.
• Map data concepts explicitly to sections of templated regulatory documents (e.g., SmPC sections).
• Clearly document business definitions, data usage, and business rules within the ontology framework.
• Create and manage SHACL (or other) shapes for ontology validation, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Collaborate closely with business SMEs and data stewards to accurately represent business knowledge.
• Work with AI teams to ensure ontology suitability for AI-driven data stewardship tasks.
• Ensure ontology documentation is detailed, clear, and accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree (Preferred) in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Solid experience in ontology development and semantic web technologies (OWL, RDF, SHACL (or other).
• Proficiency in using CENtree or similar ontology management platforms.
• Demonstrated experience integrating ontologies with healthcare standards such as IDMP-O and HL7 FHIR.
• Ability to translate complex business rules and regulatory requirements into structured ontology definitions.
• Strong analytical and collaboration skills to interact with diverse stakeholders (SMEs, Data Stewards, AI specialists).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with IDMP standards, specifically ISO 11615/11616 and related implementation guides.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
• Knowledge of data management and regulatory compliance processes.
• Experience in process improvement and change management
